I’ve been saying it for a year…

But I need to figure out what I’m going to do with my life.  I have been rejected from so many jobs and there are little opportunities in my field of expertise… We’re about a week from me having to become an exotic dancer, how much do you think a 40 y.o., ugly guy could earn in a G-String?  My guess, about $3.12 a night!

I have to admit, I’m kind of excited that Up! comes out on DVD tomorrow…  I really enjoyed it in the theater.  Speaking of DVD’s, Target, Walmart and Amazon are in a DVD price battle with pre-orders of some of the seasons hottest releases at only $10.  Here’s a link to Targets deals, hey G-Force for $9.99.  here’s Walmart’s, G-Force is $9.98.  And just to be fair, here’s Amazon’s page.

Bing is such a unique little man… Not only is he obsessed with bowling, and chalk, and his Yellow “Buggy Car”, oh and we can’t forget his best friend Baby, but he is able to identify most makes of cars, and a bunch of different models.  I like that he has a bunch of options for when he gets older… Pro-Bowler, Artist, Monkey Trainer (Did I mention “Baby” is a beret wearing monkey?) or Car Salesman, in fact the other day he told me he was going to buy me a Mustang, so “I wouldn’t have to drive the busty old car.”

I can’t gush over Bing without giving equal time to Lucy, who is way more focused… At six years old she knows more about marine biology than I do at 38!  On the way home from our birthday celebration yesterday she was explaining to me what a crustaceans were and what kind of rays eat them…  Luckily, Angela got her a membership to the Long Beach Aquarium yesterday, so we’ll have many more opportunities to learn more.

I guess it didn’t need my help, seeing as it’s already sold out, but if you were lucky enough to get tickets, you’re in for a really cool night with some of the greats in 80′s television (including my Uncle!)

Give him the death penalty.   Maybe LT hit my car?  Important: Stroller Recall. Just in time for Christmas shopping, Elvis hair.  This is Stretch’s kind of beauty queen.   Gay parents rule.  He bet and lost.   Cool new L.A. Marathon route, I may do it this year.  Cheap Pink’s Hot Dogs this week!  Invent a sandwich.  I’ll do it!  Don’t text and bus drive.

We had a really nice birthday celebration Sunday.  Lucy got to visit the Long Beach Aquarium and Bing bowled at Gameworks…  I have to tell you, Gameworks bowling alley pretty much sucks, we had to change lanes after the bumpers wouldn’t work for Bing and then the new lane wouldn’t set the pins correctly, 2 or 3 fell each time. Bing didn’t care though, so all was good.

I can’t believe my babies are 6 and 3 years old, it seems like yesterday I was bathing them in the sink and changing their size “nb” diapers.  I do love that their little personalities are forming, both very unique and creative.  Bing has a great way of seeing things, he insists that a photo my sister has on her wall at home of a whale is a P.T. Cruiser… There is a montage of four photos, three out of the four he will identify as whales, but to him one is a P.T. Cruiser.  Lucy draws such amazing artwork…  My apartment is like a mini-Getty museum, well if the Getty only displayed crayon on paper works in a 300 square foot space.

Every year I bake the kids birthday cakes of their favorite things, this year it was bowling and sharks.  The bowling ball cake turned out good (although Bing said it looked like a pig), but the shark cake kind of sucked.  Hopefully next year Lucy will be into an easier cake subject.

I saw Ronnie James Dio at a Brittany Foundation fund raiser this weekend… I thought it was really cool of him to donate his time.

It was really cute, when Bing and Lucy arrived her Sunday morning, Lucy dropped her stuffed animal and it got a tad dirty, she asked me to wash it.  I explained that my washing machine was broken and Bing chimed in with “I’ll fix it with my tools.”  As soon as we walked in the door Bing grabbed his Handy Manny Toolbox and got to work… Still broken but Bing gave it his all.

Isn’t a “doomsday cult’s” future supposed to be uncertain?  No wonder Stretch likes her.  Sex toy study.  See, college kids do more than just drink.  Still sickened by this story.  Guns and grenades.  Swift mocks West, well kind of.  Quick, bring her to Sun-Land.  Well, this is sad.

Birthday Weekend

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

My babies get a year older this weekend…  I get to hang out with them on Sunday (Bing’s birthday), so I’m looking forward to that!

We’ve have a lot going on in podcast/CRN world lately.  Next Friday will be hosting the 10:30pm Craig Shoemaker show at the Ice House in Pasadena….  Which is really cool, because he is extremely funny!  On Tuesday November 17th well be hanging at Bob’s Big Boy in Sun Valley.  We’ll be enjoying happy hour from 6-8p and then broadcasting live from 8-10p.

Tonight on the CRN we had Vikki Ziegler in studio, she is a very successful family law attorney.  She was really fun to have on, she was intelligent and had a great sense of humor, she was in town for some television meetings, so hopefully we’ll see her on TV soon.  She also has a dating site for divorced people that she created, It’s currently free, so if your divorced and interested in dating check it out – divorcedating.com .

I apologize again for not being in much of a blogging mood this week, I’ve just been kind of bummed.  I’m so sick of being unemployed and all the problems that come along with it…  I would like to go back to the good old days where I go to work everyday and then they give me a paycheck… Or at least I think that’s how it works, it’s been a long time since I’ve done it.

Ethan’s show was excellent last night.  I highly recommend checking him out next time he plays.  Thanks to Kevin, Denise and Tomas for coming out to Hollywood and hanging out.

I am excited that the CRN is letting me take a more active role in things, I really feel like it has so much potential, we just have to hip some things up.  I think it’s cool that they have started running Air America programming this week on CRN 4 (it’s Liberal talk radio…  Which includes a show hosted by Chuck D)… Don’t worry Stretch, there’s plenty of right wing stuff on their other channels.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my marriage lately, and the aftermath.  It is so weird how you can love someone and think you know them, only to find out you didn’t really know them at all.  When start a relationship, you not only give your heart, but your trust… I think it is easier to heal the broken heart than it is to trust someone again.  It is sad to live your life wondering what is hidden, what is there that lies beneath the surface, but that is what you are left doing after a divorce.

This is not how newlyweds are supposed to act.  Little maniac.  Was it the CRN van? I’m not alone.  She should not be driving!  I’m glad it wasn’t our buddy Chris Judd.  Gotta get to court.  Another happy newlywed.  Guess who’s not going to win the Good Sport Award?

Have a great weekend!!!

Sorry, I’ve been missing for a few days… Just wasn’t in the blogging mood.

I am not a perfect parent, I try really hard, but far from perfect.  I wasn’t a great husband, I tried, but I didn’t do everything right (Not that it all was my fault).  I am a good employee, I always have been.  Hard worker, dedicated, quick to adapt…  That’s what is so frustrating, I know I am a solid worker, and yet no work.  A year of unemployment beats you down, I would like to go back to work now!  I wish it was that easy, to just post it in a blog and have it happen.  Well, I will continue to apply… and continue to receive my rejection letters.

On an upbeat note, the kids birthday’s are this weekend!  Lucy turns 6 and Bing 3…  Although, Lucy has informed me that she does not want to be six!  So I told her she could be 5+1…  It didn’t really help, but at least I tried.  Bing want a “huge bowling set” for his birthday… You would think he’d be happy with the two sets he already has, there are pins and balls all over my apartment.

I have two un-carved pumpkins sitting here staring at me…  I thought about making pie, but it seems really involved.  So, my plan B is to toss them off my balcony…  There is just something fun about throwing stuff off a balcony.

Ethan is playing the Hotel Cafe tomorrow night… If you’re around I highly recommend seeing him.

I went to the staff meeting at the CRN today…  I like going, they remind me of how radio was when I first started, before we became a huge corporate monster.  We worked on some of the details of our drinking challenge with The Eric and Jack Attack Show… Date to be announced soon.

Aliens in the Attic came out o DVD yesterday… I’m not going to lie, I want to see it.  Dee sent us Transformers 2 , People ragged on it when it came out, but I enjoyed it.  The Foo Fighters greatest hits was also released yesterday, it’s a great collection… Who would have thought it would have been the drummer from Nirvana making great music years later?

She’s not getting Teacher of the Year.  This is so sad, you know the parents did something horrible.  Holy window.  If he can do it, so could Stretch.  Good costume.  Happy 40th Sesame Street.  He needs a Comic Con-Casket.  Your kitty could get swine flu.  Here’s what I can do with my pumpkins. Here’s some more info on China. Hey, I’m not dead.

By the way:  For some unknown reason Word Press is not letting me post photos, so I’ll post some Halloween pics on facebook.
