Not Much Going On

Space Shuttle Makes it's journey across Los Angeles

I haven’t posted in a while… But there hasn’t been much going on.  I have been trying to make some changes, but as of yet nothing has panned out.  It has really beaten me down lately, I would really like to gain some ground… instead of the loses I have suffered over the past 5 years.  It would be nice to have a “win” every once in a while…  So I just keep trying.

I haven’t been able to have much of a life as of late, I go to work, and unless the kids are here, just hang out at home…  Although the Space Shuttle’s journey across Los Angeles was a welcome distraction.  It was incredible to see the Shuttle towed through the streets past thousands of cheering people all excited to get a close-up look.  Here are a few photos that I didn’t post on Facebook:

Bing has started soccer.  The park league is plays on did not have enough 5 year olds to form teams so they placed the kids on teams with 7 and 8 year olds.  I am very proud of him, it has been tough playing with older kids, but he has held his own… Even requesting to play goalie in today’s game!  He truly is the toughest little guy I’ve ever seen!

Halloween is just 11 days away and we’re not ready!  My lack of resources this year has put me way behind, normally the kids costumes would have already been all put together.  Bing wanted to be a ghoul-like thing, I picked up that costume yesterday (I would have normally encouraged him to be more creative, but that just wasn’t an option this year), and Lucy is going to be Katy Perry… She still needs to find a dress (The one at the costume store is horrible), that is our mission for tomorrow.  There is a costume party at school next Saturday, so we have to make this happen this weekend!

In Jamie, Jack and Stench news….  Stench continues to build his new project at KNOC, they’d love for you to like their Facebook Page!  There have been changes on Jamie’s radio show on Alice in Denver, Howie is no longer on the show (The official statement is that he left to work on some television projects), so it’s just Jamie and B.J. now…  I’m sure it will continue to be great! You can get the latest on their Facebook page.  The Pod continues on (although to be honest we are getting pretty low on subscribers, so be sure to spread the word that we’re still podcasting.  When you subscribe you get access to our over 1350 past shows too!)

There’s a lot going on in the next couple weeks so I’m sure I will have plenty to post!

Rock on, Jack

Aww Jack. Things will get better! Keep your chin up. Life can be really tough sometimes. Trust me, I know. I am a single mother. I have a 15 year old son that I have single handedly raised alone for the last 14 years. I have never received one cent in child support and he has not seen his father since he was 1. It was really tough for awhile but i kept on going. That’s all you can do. It did get better but it took a long time. There were many times that I wanted to give up but wouldn’t. Things will fall into place if you keep on working hard. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am rooting for you!
