School starts tomorrow… So I figured I should post some photos of our summer vacation. I’m not going to lie, I’m bummed summer is over, it was not near long enough… But we made the most of it. The kids had never been to Las Vegas, Nevada, so we loaded up the car and headed for the desert.
I have a few travel tips I learned from our journey. First, you can get a deal when you use Expedia… But if anything goes wrong you’re pretty much on your own. I paid extra for a room in the pyramid at the Luxor, the kids really wanted to stay in it! When we checked in they told us they had no rooms in the pyramid and we would be in the tower… I showed them my Expedia reservation but they said the site had no power to specify we receive a pyramid room. ( I have been fighting with Expedia since my return, but they’re basically just giving me the runaround…. Lesson learned.)
Next, check Groupon for the city you’re going to visit. About 3 weeks before our trip I went on Groupon and looked at everything they had for Las Vegas… I found an amazing deal on a helicopter trip over the strip. We were able to fly over the strip just about dusk, it was a highlight for sure. Bing was really nervous at the start, but once we were in the air he loved it.
And finally, (although I took about 2500 photos… these are just a taste, but it’s going to take me a long time to get through them) don’t forget to take lots of photos. We put together photo books of all our adventures and the kids love them.
And before I go, there was a problem with the Morris The Cat/ 9 Lives link I posted last blog, Click Here to check out the correct one!
