Merry Christmas (Or Happy Whatever Holiday you celebrate!!!!) The image above is our star, we made it about 5 years ago when we had our own (post-divorce) Christmas tree and it has survived all these years… And every year I love it more and more. When it was made our lives were in chaos and money was even tighter than it is now, so we used our artistic talents. It is always on top of our tree and every year it is my favorite thing to bring out. It (in my opinion) is the true spirit of Christmas, made with love and representative of our family. We don’t have many actual traditions, but this star will be one for as long as it lasts.
I wanted to take a moment to not only wish your family the happiest of holidays and an awesome new year…. But thank you for sticking with me all these years! It has been a long time since I mattered to mainstream media, but I love that you guys have stuck with the blog and podcast. I hope you know how much you all mean to me… I look forward to boring you with more pods and blogs in 2016!
I know I have told you before I won’t promote products I don’t believe in, so I was curious if this one would actually make the blog. I received an email saying there was a new product that would remove the “stink” from clothes without ruining them… Oddly enough, I have a Levi’s jacket that I love, but always had a weird smell (I think from the dye they used), I have washed it a bunch of times and it still stunk. (You can ask Lucy if you don’t believe me, I made her confirm it still smelled!) The email said: The new Febreze In-Wash Laundry Odor Eliminator is the first laundry additive that works with your detergent to target and cling onto odor molecules in the wash and flush them down the drain with the dirty water. I didn’t think it would work… But it did, so it gets the Dadjack Thumbs Up, I highly recommend it!
Most people say “My Mom Rocks,” but they don’t literally mean it…. Well, My Mom Rocks! Bing’s class invited her into their class to play guitar and lead a holiday song sing-a-long… She showed up with an electric guitar and blew them away! They now call her “Cool Grandma.” I only wish she would have gone along with my Sister and I when we tried to turn her into a Youtube sensation as “Heavy Metal Grandma.” We wanted her to cover some super hard rock songs (which she could totally do!) and we would have posted the videos (years ago) and she would have been a viral hit… apparently she is only comfortable rocking third grade class rooms!
Happy Holidays! YOU RULE, Jack
