The Weekend Is Upon Us…

And it’s supposed to be a hot one!

You always see me mentioning Groupon on here, well I saw an article today on the site that was very interesting.  They are America’s fastest growing company,  set to reach a billion dollars in sales faster than any other company ever has and were created by a 29 year old .  It was just good to see an American company doing well and a company I personally believe in succeeding in these horrible economic times.   Not only do they offer great deals, but I had instance to deal with their customer service department and they went above and beyond.

There is a very sad ending to the Matrice Richardson mystery.  She was the young woman taken into custody by the Sheriff’s department after skipping on a bill at Geoffrey’s in Malibu, who was then released and never heard from again. There was a period of time last week they thought she may be hiding out in Vegas.  well,  they found remains last week in Malibu Creek State Park that have been Identified as hers.  If you saw the press conference yesterday I’d be interested to see what you thought, I think they handled the announcement (and most other aspect of the case) very badly… Her Father found out via the press conference announcement.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I had something happen yesterday that almost never happens to me… I made a bad batch of cookies!  I burned about half the batch by getting distracted and leaving them in the oven for too long and then (I don’t really go by a set recipe… As Sarah Palin would say “I go Rogue” with my cookies) the other half were just “off” for lack of a better word.  I’m going to give it another shot tonight!

I was at the CRN yesterday… Jack Roberts is looking much better!  It was good to see him looking healthier and in better spirits.

Kids return on Sunday!

If you haven’t heard the audio is at the bottom of this link, Dr. Laura went on a racist rant of sorts and was really insensitive to her caller… I hope she gets in trouble for this.

Talk about aged.  Stench needs a Nakation!  Speaking of travel, Check out what kids are using their babysitting money for.    Enjoy these new scratch and sniff bills.   The old pay your tax bill in pennies gag. Killer smoothies… and not in the good way!  Get naked for Obama!

Have a great weekend!  Rock on, Jack

It’s getting Hot In Here…

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

What happened to Nelly?  Anyway, I’m glad the summer weather has finally kicked in.  There is just something about hot summer nights that I love, I just want to sit out on a patio and drink ice tea all night.

My Mom and I took the kids to play a little tennis yesterday… We went to the park where I took tennis lessons as a kid.  It was weird to be back there, I clearly remembered what it felt like when I was a kid spending evening there hitting tennis balls at Daisy Wong… If you played tennis in Burbank in the 80′s you knew Daisy.

It ended up getting too hot for any bike riding for Lucy yesterday, but she pretty much has it down… She just needs to learn how to start on her own.  Speaking of childhood memories, I can’t remember who taught me how to ride a bike (I would assume my Mom), but I vividly remember the feeling of independence that bike gave me… It was only topped by getting a drivers license . It’s a different world now, I don’t think Lucy has that same feeling… She is not aloud to just go out and ride around on her own, I would take off on my bike and ride all around the neighborhood with my friends.  I want her to love her bike like I loved (and still do) mine… But you can’t force her.  By far my favorite thing as a child was cycling and it carried over into adulthood… I can’t wait til she finds her favorite (And I hope it’s something fun!)

Now if Bing doesn’t get involved in sport I’ll be shocked… That kid loves almost every sport.  We hit baseballs, kick soccer balls, roll bowling balls, put golf balls, shoot basketballs… We’re only a few years away from him realizing that his Dad sucks at all those things!

I need to get back in shape, I’ve been trying to workout but life keeps getting in the way… Although that’s just an excuse, the biggest part of staying in shape and healthy is diet, and I’ve been eating crap!

Why do we have to repeat this every year… Don’t Leave Your DogIt’ In A Hot Car!  Hey Dad, Thanks for dying this year!  Kind of awkward don’t you think?  Lucy would think this is cool!  You too can be like Mel.   Didn’t he see Caddyshack?  Finally, someone Stench wants to help!  We spoke about this on the f**king pod!

Rock On, Jack

The Weather Outside is….

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Well, Cold!  Winter, or at least as much winter as we get, is here.

I know we’ve mentioned it on the pod and CRN show, but what the heck, I’ll do it here too… On Friday Dec. 18th we’ll be having our “Unofficial Christmas Party” at The CRN Studios from 8-10p (And it very well may be our last show there, so if you’ve been wanting to come down this is it.)  We’ll be broadcasting live on CRN and Stretch will sing you Christmas Carols during the commercial breaks.

Lucy asked me if I had got a Christmas tree yet, I have not.  I actually wasn’t planning on getting one seeing as the kids will spend the majority of the month at their Mom’s, but now she asked so I have to get one.  I’m thinking something super tiny, kind of Charlie Brown Christmasesque  (Which is on ABC tonight).  I went to Target, but they didn’t have anything that caught my eye, they had a decent fake one, but I have no where to store it the rest of the year.  I did see a Rosemary bush that was trimmed into a tree shape which might work.

It’s amazing how many women Tiger has cheated with have come forward, almost 12!  What a scum, Nike, you think it might be time to drop him?  Good job Gaterade!

Ready for take off.   Like guys needed another reason to watch NASCAR.   I like this!!! I bet this looked really cool.   Nailin’ Palin.   See movies do ruin kids!  Another soap bites the dust.  Just in case you forgot.  Even the Amish get D.U.I.’s!

Rock On, Jack
