Tue, 10 Jan 2012 20:48:50 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3 Me and Bing… http://www.dadjack.com/dj/2010/03/15/me-and-bing/ http://www.dadjack.com/dj/2010/03/15/me-and-bing/#comments Tue, 16 Mar 2010 04:30:03 +0000 admin http://www.dadjack.com/dj/?p=487 There is usually one day a week that Bing and I get to spend most of the day together, and we take full advantage.  Today, after we dropped Lucy off at school, we hit the hot tub for a morning swim (Well, at least for Bing, I’m a little too large to swim in it).  It’s amazing how much of last summers swim lessons he remembers.  Then we usually have lunch, maybe sandwiches and hangout and watch TV… Normally, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, he’s obsessed with it.  and if we’re lucky we get a nap in… It’s nice to get this time alone together, Lucy and I had a lot of it before he was born and it is very special.

Radio Club was today, the kids are doing so well.  They are natural radio personalities, watch out Seacrest they’ll be coming after you soon!

I’ve been bummed that I haven’t had much time to workout, I really want to get back into shape… Although my biggest problem is diet, I’ve been eating junk.  A good diet is so important… And I know this, I’ve just been lazy and using working and the kids as an excuse.

Lucy is excited, Angela is taking her whale watching this weekend… Bing and I will be doing something else, on land, I don’t do well on boats!

This stinks.  Well this saved some hassle. 3D could kill you! (OK, not really)  Assault with a deadly lid.    Bad dog. This is horrible.  No wang in our winter wonderland. Only in Florida.  A small Loss.

]]> http://www.dadjack.com/dj/2010/03/15/me-and-bing/feed/ 1 Staying After School… http://www.dadjack.com/dj/2010/03/09/staying-after-school/ http://www.dadjack.com/dj/2010/03/09/staying-after-school/#comments Tue, 09 Mar 2010 20:57:27 +0000 admin http://www.dadjack.com/dj/?p=430 Lucy and I ended up spending most of our Saturday at her school this weekend.  She took part in a great free arts program they put on sponsored by CAA… She loved it.  I was helping with the E-Waste collection… I saw electronics I had seen in years, it’s amazing the stuff we shove into the garage and forget about.  It was really good to see that stuff get recycled instead of ending up in a dump somewhere.

Friday night we went and hung out at Panera… The kids will miss that place when I move, it’s our official hang out!

Sunday we took it easy and watched the Oscars at a friends house.  I thought they were entertaining for what they are… I never go into awards shows with very high expectations.

Yesterday was Radio Club, it’s going so well.  I can’t wait until I have their “show” to post, it will mean so much to them to have people listen to  it.

Next weekend I’m already booked with kids birthday parties…. No one warns you before you have kids that your weekends will be consumed by other kids parties someday, but that’s exactly what happens!

I’m more amazed that the cable guy showed up on time.  Just what you want to do: compare yourself to Barbie.  Andy Richter speaks out.  You can buy anything on Ebay.  Seal meat.   Runaway to get probed.  Guilty plea in Letterman case.  This is sad.
